All Smiles
It takes little to make a baby smile and that trait is something that we should carry with us as adults. I find myself smiling constantly when I'm with all the babies, toddlers, and my nieces and nephews.
While babysitting my grandniece, Eli last Friday at my house, she had eyes for my dad and it brought big smiles to his face and a tear or two in his eyes. I snapped this photo when dad came downstairs to see what Eli and I were up to and this is the reaction he got.
She's got so much love in her little body, it amazes me. I took Eli with me to meet my friends for a late lunch and they loved her (again) and we had a lot of fun. She didn't fuss at all and just took in all the new faces and sounds around her. My friends got a laugh over the vibrating corncob toy (see last Monday's post "Gee Whiz... It Vibrates!", if you missed it!) ... you know I had to show them. Me thinks I need to buy one for each of us now! *snicker*
My grandnephew, Caleb is a cutie too. He's the son of my nephew Tyler and his wife Sara (we have two Saras in our family). Here is a video they made (it is set to music) of his first car. He's 9 months old and weighs 24 lbs so he's a big guy and it's all muscle.

My twin nieces. Taylor called my parents yesterday because she was bored and then called me. LOL I told her that I would call her back, she said, I don't have to pay for this. Spoiled rotten!! LOL
So when Caleb gets stuck, does anyone bail him out? Poor little kid.
My kids and grandkids! They are incredibly precious to me. All of my sons and DIL's are in their mid- to late-30's now, and my grandsons are 5 1/2, 7, and 9, with my granddaughter Emily being 2.
I enjoy watching you savor this time with Eli (so cute!) and Caleb (such a busy, big boy). It goes by all too quickly.
Hugs & love!
My sons. Even though they will be 16 & 17 this year. They can be really funny at times, and very caring, and I just love them to bits.
Your grand-nephew and grand-niece are so adorable! Thanks for sharing the video - it's so cute.
Those little darlings are beautiful! :)
She is so beautiful!
I forgot about the vibrating corncob toy! Where do you get those? I have to give them out as stocking stuffers next Christmas.
You are lovingly documenting the next generation. You have lots to be thankful for. Blessings to all!
How adorable!
