Another Week Begins...

I hope everyone had a good weekend and survived the heat - if it's hot where you are.  I managed to get all my homework done despite the set-back with my geology field trip.  I spoke with a geologist (from the State of Utah) and he told me of a place up Ogden Canyon, around Pine View Reservoir that had some igneous rocks called Norwood Tuff, which is solidified volcanic ash.  I was so excited to find it, however, where he told me to look - was wrong.  I didn't find out until I got home and looked up the name of the rock (which I should have done before I drove up there!) and there was a report on it.  The location is actually over the mountain from Pine View in Morgan.  I didn't have time to go back up there so I ended up doing another assignment, learning to read a topographical map.  However, the trip was worth it because I got some good shots of the Ogden River waterfall and of Pine View and the pine trees on the mountain.

I managed to get outside for a few minutes Friday night to try out my new camera and I must say, I'm very pleased with it! Here are a couple of photos I took of Mom's garden.

I got some rest yesterday but not a lot since it was Father's Day and I needed to help out with dinner and had a few things I needed to get done. I watched a baseball game (YAY Texas Rangers!!) and got caught up on some TV shows. I could use another day... do I really have to go to work today?! *sigh*

Have a great day!

I hope you had fun with your dad this weekend...your pictures are gorgeous but is that a surprise? Um..NO.

I got to spend time with the man of my dreams this weekend. Yep, I did. Two full hours in my bedroom with the man of my dreams. Really, honest, I posted about it. Well about parts of it.

I am the Good one remember?

These photos are incredible! I'm sorry you didn't get the rocks you were after but, with I think that coming back with those photos makes the trip totally worth while.

Glad you had such a great weekend. Your pictures keep getting better and better.

Darn those short weekends---why do Monday's always
come as quick as they do?

Hope you have a nice week---will talk with you soon.

Beautiful photos Karen. The one of the cosmos looks like I could reach into the frame and touch it, its so clear! The waterfal is magical, I like the effect of capturing a moment in time, freezing the water in action with just a click.
Have a great week friend.

All those photographs are lovely, Karen, but the one of the waterfall is stunning! For it to look that good here, it must be some sight to behold in person.
