Gee Whiz Thursday - Sort of
Gee whiz, not many gee whizes this week other than, gee whiz, things are a lot better and the road to Nutsville isn't so prounounced. Both Mom and Dad are behaving and since Mom is doing better, Dad isn't so anxious.
Imagine what these girls at the museum are thinking... gee whiz... This is yet another toy that Shirl directed me to for photos. This is the bouquet of flowers I bought my mom for her surgery and for Easter; Dutch tulips. Funny enough, I bought these at Wal-Mart on a 30-minute-escape-for sanity-from-the-house-to-buy-bananas scheme.

Gee whiz, it's my dad's 73rd birthday on Saturday. I've narrowed the menu down to pizza with siblings bringing salad and drinks. The theme: easy yet makes Dad happy. I bought him and Mom a combination gift for his birthday, Father's Day, and her Mother's Day: The full collection of Are You Being Served, an old Brittish comedy. The day will be a good day and I'm already thankful for having him here for another birthday.
Today marks the 8th anniversary of my sister-in-law's death due to complications of breast and brain cancer. She fought long, hard, and strong but her body gave out. I bought a cute wire and shiny stone butterfly garden accessory to take to her grave today and I'll take my parents along for the ride after it warms up some. If I could give Lisa a flower today, it would be this one, right out of Mom's garden.

Have a wonderful day!

LOL at "Road to Nutsville". Was that one of the Bing Crosby and Bob Hope "Road" pictures? It's excellent that you've learned the absolute necessity in finding the humor in negotiating this voyage through life. Sooo happy it's Thursday! ;)
I am so glad that your Mom & Dad are behaving. Sounds like your Mom is doing really well !! ;-) She has had a really good nurse !! ;-)
Your dad will enjoy his party. The tulip is beautiful. May your SIL rest in peace.
*HUGS*
Such a beautiful flower :)
I hope your Dad has a wonderful birthday! I'm sure they'll both enjoy watching Are You Being Served? It's timeless and is always fun to watch.
That's a very cool trick with the photo--you already know I love those tulips!
I love tulips! Those photos are wonderful. Sounds like dad will have a nice birthday the kind most dads his age would enjoy. That's the kind my daddy would have wanted. My thoughts are with you for the rememberance of Lisa's passing
Wish the snow would stop so my tulips would bloom! Have a great weekend :) Tonight's lambic beer night :)
No G-Whizzing today? Wow..... I'm shocked! *LOL*
I am glad your mom is feeling better!

I hope your Dad enjoyed his birthday party. Sending Happy Birthday hugs to him.
The pictures you've been posting are beautiful. Tulips are one of my favourite flowers. They're so pretty and they smell so nice.
Enjoy your Sunday! **hugs**
