Baby Alex

For those of you who have followed Hula's posts about the five children she rescued from an abusive mother, there is some heart-wrenching news.  The baby, Alex, was  hospitalized with RSV and he died Wednesday night.  I could go on and rant about his circumstances but I won't, this is about a sweet little boy who died.

I share Hula's tears  and heartache, as well as all those who mourn this innocent child.   May he now know true love and joy and be free from his illness and environment.

 Rest in peace, sweet Alex.

How sad. It's a shame what we do to children. :(

I'm sorry to hear this. At least that little lamb knew what true love and nurturing were before he passed.

I can't seem to quit crying today. I know it will pass but I am angry. I know that I have to walk through these steps to heal but right now I'm angry and sad. He did not have to die like that.
I held him in my arms Wed morning for a brief time. They let me visit him to rock him. I just don't understand. Some day I will but not now.
Thank you for your condolences.

This is indeed a sad ending to a tragic story. Hopefully there has been some divine purpose for this small life to have left us so soon and with so much trauma.

Sweet Alex, may you rest in peace. I am sorry your life had to end so quickly. The angels will take care of you now.

It is so sad when an innocent child dies, yet we have to believe that he is now at peace, and free from pain. It's the only way to make sense of it at all.

My heart is breaking.
The news is terrible.
Rest in Peace little angel.
Hula is not the only one who had to have known what these children were going through. They should have been reported way before it came to this. If there was a way to hold people responsible for NOT reporting I hope it is done in this case. People who knew that mother and children, the schools, whatever...I am so upset!
God Bless,
Huggles and Love,

Dear Karen ~~ What a sad sad story of those little boys and I am so sorr for yor friend Hula.
She did a wonderful thing and probaly save the
lives of the other boys. So very sad for Baby Alex, but at least he had care and comfort in his last days. I can't stop crying for them and Hula.
Thank you Karen for the E card. Take care dear
friend, Love, Merle.

Thank God Hula was there for them. He may not have known what nurturing felt like if not for her stepping in. His life had such powerful meaning-maybe there can be a better life for his older brothers. This is surely a sign they should never return to that woman. My condolences to Hula who fell in love with those children and to the older siblings.
