Help Request for SophMom
SophMom is asking for prayers for her son's best friend. This is taken from her blog:
Her son's oldest's dear friend, Sean, is extremely ill in a Chapel Hill hospital, suffering from complications that arose as he was preparing for a bone marrow transplant. Sean was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer just a year ago, less than a month after his graduation from UNCW and has been undergoing treatment since. The Oldest is heading up there tomorrow, at the recommendation of Sean's father, picking up another friend in Charlotte on the way, expecting that they are going to say good-bye. A bright and beautiful light is flickering and my heart is so heavy. I went a long time through a great deal of difficulty during the collapse of my marriage without being able to cry. Now I don't seem to be able to stop. Please, those of you who are inclined to pray, please remember our dear Sean and his family in your prayers.
He's been given last rites and his brother had to leave to return to Iraq. Please visit SophMom and give them some support. Thanks!

Thanks for letting us know about him.
Hugs
Prayers are continuing for Sean. I've thought of little else today when I've had the time to think.
Take care of you, friend.
Call you tomorrow. :)
Karen, I cannot thank you enough. Y'all are so wonderful. I have posted an update on Monica's blog although there has not been much change. We are very encouraged by the fact that they are again treating his cancer, because they hadn't been able to for a while. My son has returned safely from his (very quick) trip, but other friends have made the trek to be with Sean and his parents and the one brother who is there with him.
I want to apologize to you for not having visited this lovely blog before. I think we both comment on some of the same blogs, not just Monica's but we were both regular commenters on Denise/Diva's blog (which I miss terribly) and I think also at Gray Biker's? I promise I'll do better in the future and come by more often.
Thank you again. You are good people. :)
Hi Karen ~~ I am so sorry to hear about Sean and will pray for a miracle. That makes my little problems amount to practically nothing. I hope all is well with you Karen and your parents.
Take care, Love, Merle.
