Miracles
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle.” - Albert Einstein
At times, I am guilty of not noticing the miracles that were around me. It is not that I do not care about the miracles, but rather that I forget to use the tools or do not take the time to recognize the miracles. The tools, I believe, are a new respect for my surroundings, love for myself and others, and having inner peace.
Miracles can be the simplest of occurrences, such as waking up, smiling, having someone say hello, having someone take the time to comment. Having the family that I am blessed to have and finding special people and having them in my life, no matter how long. Never forgetting the special people who have passed on or ventured to another place is also a miracle. Love of any kind is a miracle.
The sun rises, it sets, the moon rises, and the stars shine. The sun shines or there are clouds that let the rain and snow fall to earth. The clouds are miraculous, no two the same and they move with such grace and force. Fresh snow sparkles beautifully when the sun shines on the crystals.
The beauty that the sun, rain, and snow create in flowers and trees, causing rivers to flow, and ocean waves to crash against the shore. The wind is a miracle, feeling the bitter cold against my face or in the summer having a cool breeze, inhaling and exhaling.
Get out there, find some miracles of your own then come back and share them with me, if you will.

Very nice post Karen.... I think many of us forget about th everyday "miracles" that happen.
Thanks for reminding us....
Very thought provoking and the photos are beautiful too. *Big hugs* Love ya!
My miracle is that I have lost 30 pounds in 14 days! I feel better than I have felt in years. I never thought I would feel this way again. Yet I have been given a new lease on life.
Lovely post Huggy, but where's the "later in the week" news we all want to hear about? *S*
This is an interesting post, Karen. It sure makes you stop and think. I do have a miracle, happened today. My ear is fine and if the popping still continues for the next week, keeping fingers and toes crossed that it stops, then I will have to have my hearing check. So,it is a half of a miracle.
*BIG HUGS*
You are right Karen. One miracle I see lately is the changing color of the trees, they are crowned with red, gold and yellow. Such a beautiful sight!
Dear Karen ~~ Lovely post and as you say, there are miracles all around us each and every day. We are so fortunate to be able to rnjoy all the blessings of Nature. And to love and
be loved is surely the best of all. To have friends and family to share our lives with is just wonderful. Thank you
for your message. Glad you liked the Candy cane story and of course share it with your readers. A cousin of mine gave me a small candy cane with that note attached. I hope you are
quite over your operation and keeping well. Take care, dear friend. Love, Merle.
Wonderful post, Karen, happiness is there for the taking, too few realize that. And it comes from thinking as you do, being thankful for all the miracles big and small. Like the piece of happiness that was waiting for me over here within this post.
Have a good day, x
Every living, breathing person is a miracle.
I am amazed at how we are formed and born and grow.
Also, the universe and all its wonder and vastness just blows my mind!!
Very nice post.
That was beautiful!
I wrote a post title Coyote Medicine.
In that post was this:
As an old Dineh song from Arizona says:
I walk in beauty
Beauty is before me,
Beauty is above me,
Beauty is below me,
Beauty is around me,
I walk in beauty
Your poetry and photography is amazing.
This post touched me...
